I’ve created several patterns, mostly hats, when I had my own hand dyed yarn biz. I love taking an inspiration & figuring out how to translate it to a design.
That is kind of a tough question. I think it was probably connecting with other knitter/crocheters through the process of getting feed back on patterns or possible designs. I also like being able to look at something and figuring out what stitches could be used to create it in yarn.
